St. Coletta's Culinary Arts Program is a specialty training program.
During the program, students will learn about nutrition and how to read food labels; have hands-on experience with professional kitchen equipment; receive front of house training in customer service, cashiering and bussing; and learn to prepare everything from salads and entrees to desserts. Students will also work on creating a professional portfolio to showcase their achievements to potential employers and practice their interview skills so they are prepared and confident if they decide to join the workforce after completing the Culinary Arts Program. Earning their ServSafe Certification is a valuable asset to students because it is recognized statewide. This certification shows the individual understands how to properly handle food and sanitize a workspace. Many employers are inclined to hire those with limited experience thanks to the certification.
