COMMUNITY DAY SERVICES
Adult Services are offered Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. at our Tinley Park campus. A variety of programs are offered to enhance each individual’s adaptive living skills, economic self-sufficiency, overall level of independence and integration into the community.
DAILY ADAPTIVE LIVING SKILLS

Building confidence for everyday life starts with practical skills. Through hands-on instruction and personalized support, individuals work on personal goals such as reading, counting, tying shoes, and understanding time and money. They also develop teamwork, personal hygiene and community safety skills. Each step strengthens independence and helps individuals grow more capable, self-reliant and ready to participate fully in their community.
LEISURE & RECREATION

Meaningful leisure experiences play a vital role in reducing isolation and enhancing quality of life. Individuals are encouraged to participate in activities such as art, music, outdoor recreation and games that promote connection and enjoyment. These opportunities support physical, emotional and social well-being, reinforcing the belief that true health means being able to fully participate in activities that bring joy and purpose.
ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY

Developing financial confidence is an important part of daily life. Economic self-sufficiency activities focus on budgeting, money management and work-related skills that empower individuals to make informed decisions. With guidance and support, participants build self-reliance and gain tools that promote greater independence now and in the future.
HEALTHY LIFESTYLES
Healthy living looks different for everyone. Through hands-on activities, group discussions and daily routines, individuals explore nutrition, fitness, personal wellness and safety skills. With encouragement from staff, each person sets goals, makes informed choices and builds habits that support a balanced, independent lifestyle.

COMMUNITY OUTINGS

Community outings offer regular opportunities to connect with others and explore new experiences beyond the program setting. Trips are thoughtfully planned around each person’s interests, age and abilities and may include visits to local parks, movie theaters, bowling alleys, restaurants and shops. These experiences build social skills, encourage independence and create meaningful community connections.
WORK OPPORTUNITIES
Hands-on work experiences help individuals build job skills, confidence and independence. Opportunities include supervised in-house projects, supported community employment and participation in our in-house bakery. These experiences foster responsibility, skill development and pride in meaningful work.
