TRANSITION TOWN: PREPARING STUDENTS
FOR LIFE BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

At the Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy School, Transition Town is our specialized transitional program designed to help students ages 14–22 build essential life and job skills for success after graduation.

Through a blend of classroom instruction and real-world, hands-on experience in a colorful, village-like setting inside the school, students explore various career paths and develop practical skills in areas such as:

  • Business services

  • Baking and culinary arts

  • Janitorial training

  • Laundry services

  • Retail operations

  • Central purchasing

  • Computer literacy skills

Many of these programs are partnered with local businesses, providing students with valuable on-site job training in authentic work environments.
