Coat donation takes sting out of winter

Nov 20, 2023

Knights of Columbus Council 6993 delivers 36 new coats to St. Coletta's of Illinois

Thanks to a donation of winter coats, subzero temperatures will be a lot easier to tolerate this year for a number of developmentally disabled individuals at St. Coletta’s of Illinois.

On Nov. 16, Knights of Columbus St. Mary of Mokena Council 6993 delivered 36 new coats to the non-profit social service agency.

The coats were distributed to students from St. Coletta’s Kennedy School as well as adults from St. Coletta’s Community Day Services program.

The coat donation has become an annual tradition for the Knights who are committed to supporting organizations like St. Coletta’s, which are dedicated to the health, education and welfare of developmentally disabled individuals.

Delivering this year's coat collection were Grand Knight Eugene Satrun and Treasurer Richard Neubauer.
